HAVE YOU ROLEPLAYED BEFORE?: This would be my first time with Etna, and my first time on Livejournal, but I am by no means new to role-playing, having done it for about nine years. <3

FANDOM: Makai Senki Disgaea
FROM WHAT TIME PERIOD?: I am playing Etna as she was approximately at the end of something closer to the manga version of Disgaea - i.e. she's used to Seraph Lamington being an utter space cadet, but also to demons being clearly capable of love and goodness. Most significantly, there are hints that she has figured out who the comic relief (even more than in the games) Mid-Boss is, in fact, Laharl's father, the previous Overlord, King Krichevskoy.

ORIGINAL LEVEL: By equivalent point in the game, Etna is probably about Level 75. However, let's cut it down to 50 and invest those 25 levels in powers for breaking the fourth wall <3~

WEAPON OF CHOICE: Spears / Handguns / Prinnies (thrown).
ABILITIES: Etna freely ignores the fourth wall, though usually this is less of an ability and more of a comic schtick. That said, she has been known to hide in the audience to get out of a fight. She's surprisingly seductive for how loli she famously is, and is probably a better leader, overall, than King Laharl. She's pretty effective in combat, if a little too quick to sacrifice Prinnies (what?! They're cheap to revive!). She's developed a fair bit of magic training through pupils, specializing in the three elements (Fire/Ice/Wind). All that, and she's good at videogames too! (Yes, that is canon, at least in the Disgaea 2 Manga's prologue.)
PERSONALITY: Etna is a very... Interesting woman. Most outwardly, she's a very forthcoming aide to Laharl, happily willing to snark off at his every stupid mistake (though if he does something right, she's among the first to congratulate him). She gets along well with the majority of her castle and just about anyone else who is willing to deal with the fact that she's pretty much a loli Succubus and subconsciously acts the part - a lot. She also freely and happily ignores the fourth wall, see above.
Inwardly, however, lies pieces of herself she sincerely prefers to keep quiet about. She doubts Laharl's effectiveness pretty much wholesale, due predominantly to his being essentially the laziest Overlord in existance. She is strongly convinced that she could do better, if nothing else to set a worthy example for the boy in hopes of making a worthy Overlord out of him yet. It is a matter of fact that the only reason she's stayed loyal to Laharl ("Ooooh, alliteration~!") for this long is because of her past loyalites to his father, King Krichevskoy. (That said, his reincarnation as Mid-Boss tends to leave her a tad nonplussed.)
BACKGROUND: Etna's earliest past is not something she has ever spoken to many people about - it's said that she has never opened up to anyone about it except the previous Overlord, King Krichevskoy, who took her in as a Vassal. Her love for the King motivated her to become stronger and stronger, more and more capable as his elite lieutenant... And, if his behavior as Mid-Boss or in his limited direct appearences are much of a clue, less and less mentally stable. That said, all of this came, more than anything else, out of a love for him...
... Which devestated her when the King married a Witch who had been studying in the Netherworld, and eventually had a son by him. Etna was never really sure what to think of Laharl for the longest time, until finally, after the witch died to save Laharl, she started to care for him - a care that developed more strongly after the King's death under what are, admittedly, highly mysterious circumstances (Etna chooses to believe that the King died fighting off another Overlord, as opposed to the common story that he died choking on a black pretzel).
Since then, she's fought at Laharl's side (One little incident notwithstanding. Anyone who protests otherwise is likely to get a Prinny to the face.), and generally managed the castle and his entire kingdom whenever he doesn't step in and do useful things himself (i.e. more often than not). She's really getting tired of this, though.
